Nickelodeon tries and fails to capture the hip, manic energy of
it's popular kid's cable network with this feature version of
the classic kid's novel. Michele Trachtenberg ("The Adventures
of Pete and Pete") is perfect as the nosey neighborhood "spy,"
but the script refuses to actually go anywhere. Too bad.
