John Travolta plays a very earthy cigarette-smoking, booze-drinking
angel in this romantic comedy from Nora Ephron (Sleepless in
Seattle). William Hurt, Andie MacDowell and Robert Pastorelli
co-star as a team of tabloid journalists out to prove or disprove
our protagonist's existence. The whole affair is pretty silly
and the Hurt/MacDowell romance feels like a square peg hammered
into a round hole--pretty forced.
