Where am I? How do I use this? What are all those drop-down menus? Don't despair. This tutorial will explain all of the Film Vault's features in five easy steps.
To navigate the Film Vault, use the three drop-down menus on the bottom left of your screen: Publication Selection, Genre Selection, and Sort Selection.
Publication Selection (1 of 5)
This control allows you to view all of the reviews and interviews in the Film Vault, or just the ones from your favorite publication.
TRY IT: Choose "Austin Chronicle" on the Publication Selection Control and the film review list will show only The Austin Chronicles film reviews.
This control allows you to narrow the film review list down to films of only a particular genre.
TRY IT: Choose "Action/Adventure" on the Genre Selection Control and view a listing of just the Action/Adventure films.
This control allows you to choose from four powerful sort types.
1. Alphabetical Sort (the default) -- This selection allows you to view films alphabetically.
2. Genre Sort -- This selection allows you to see how the selected genre intersects with all the other genres. Please read the example below for a complete demonstration.
3. Review Date Sort -- This selection allows you to view films by the date the film was orignally reviewed.
4. Director Sort -- This selection allows you to view films by their directors (listed alphabetically by the directors' names).
5. User Vote Sort -- This selection allows you to view films sorted by user vote. The films are presented from most popular to least popular based on user's opinions and ranking.

This section shows you the flexibility and strength of narrowing browsing to your own particular interests.
TRY IT: Choose "Tucson Weekly" on the Publication Selection Control, choose "Mystery/Suspense" on the Genre Selection control, and choose "Genre Sort" on the Genre selection control. You have just discovered the most powerful feature of the Film Vault! You are now viewing Tucson Weekly's reviews of Mystery/Suspense Films sorted by genre intersection.
For Example: Mystery/Action shows all of the Mystery/Action film reviews by the Tucson Weekly. Mystery/Comedy shows all the Mystery/Comedy films...and so on. Cool, 'eh?
TRY IT: Choose "All Publications", "Comedy", and "Director Sort". You are now viewing a list of all the comedy films in the Film Vault sorted by director.
